DAY 1 > WELCOME TO GRANADA

Reception, briefing and welcome dinner.

We will begin our experience in Granada, a charismatic city that is home to Spain’s most visited monument, La Alhambra. Here we will spend our first two nights and end our trip in this charming city.

Granada’s gastronomy is part of the Arab-Andalusian culinary tradition, with Arab and Jewish influences reflected in its seasonings and spices. The diverse climate favors a wide variety of raw materials that are combined in delicious dishes and traditional recipes such as soups and stews.

DAY 2 > ROUTE: Granada – Granada > KM: 225

On our first route we will ride through the province of Granada, reaching points very close to the coast with spectacular views of the sea, always among trees and tracks.

We will make a stop at a typical picnic area where we will enjoy the local cuisine.

DAY 3 > Route: Granada – Pozo Alcón [Jaén] > KM: 230

We leave the northern part of Granada to enter the province of Jaén, in the village of Pozo Alcón located next to the reservoir of La Bolera and south of the Natural Park of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas.

Here we will find a landscape that combines the greenery of the mountains with the aridity of the lowlands bordering Granada.

Taste the authentic liquid gold: olive oil flavors the cuisine of Jaén and makes its dishes healthy. In this small village we can taste the typical Segureño lamb and sausages.

DAY 4 > Route: Pozo Alcón [Jaén] – Garrucha [Almería] > KM: 220

Passing from the nature of the mountains to the coast of Almeria, we arrive at Garrucha, between Vera and Mojacar. Its famous red shrimps are caught in the fishing grounds of the maritime district of Garrucha.

DAY 5 > Route: Garrucha [Almería] – Guadix [Granada] > KM: 250

Guadix is located on the north face of Sierra Nevada in a place known as “Hoya de Guadix” and is one of the oldest settlements in Spain. Among other monuments, highlights the Cathedral of the Incarnation, one of the most important in the country, declared of Cultural Interest in 1931.

Another is the Alcazaba of Guadix and its famous cave houses, where we will have the opportunity to stay to live this unique experience. in the world. Guadix is a historical and monumental city that combines past and present, maintaining architectural, urban and historical characteristics where tourists can feel the imprint of the Roman, Jewish, Arab and Castilian cultures. As for its gastronomy, it is very rich and elaborate due to the cultural mix that has occurred in the city throughout its history.

The most typical dishes are lomo en orza, migas, patatas a lo pobre, talvinas, choto al ajillo and pimentón con sardinas. The wines of the region deserve a special mention.

To finish something sweet, homemade custard, fried donuts, rice pudding, tocino del cielo and peach which is very popular in the area. Tonight we will sleep in a typical cave house in the area.

DAY 6 > Route: Guadix [Granada] – Granada > KM: 201

We return to Granada with the satisfaction of the kilometers covered and everything we have enjoyed.
